The project takes place in the African savannah. There was no specific site for the project, the only input about the site was its climate. Thus the proposal had to be flexible and durable in a zone which has exremely challenging environmental factors for any addition of built environment. The structure has to be simple, cheap, durable and smart to be able to work as a sustainable addition.
Making a really simple solution that can face the difficulties of the savannah climate was the main goal. The aim was to design a modular system that can be adjusted and expanded which required minimum amount of resources and human power to build.
In our presentation we focused on one of the many possible arrangements of a symple network but as far as you can see from the diagram below the project has much more potential and strategies of growth. The forecast for the future of the project is that the school design can be adapted to different sites as well as more schools can be added next to each other if necessary and work as a meaningful whole.
